Providence eliminated by Syracuse in the AHL Eastern Conference Final

The Providence Bruins’ postseason run has come to an end.

After an absolutely fantastic pair of series against WBS and Hershey, it took a mere five games for the Syracuse Crunch to take the Baby-B’s out of contention for the Calder Cup. Let’s recap the game, and then recap the series.

Period 1:

The Crunch started their game like they usually did, outshooting Providence and forcing them to play fast and furiously, which did them and Malcolm Subban (coming in relief of McIntyre) no favors. The scoring was opened very early on once again as Ben Thomas got a shot past Subban 41 seconds into the period.
