Colin Miller ejected for hit on Alex Burmistrov

From the looks of it, Colin Miller appeared to deliver a clean hit on Alex Burmistrov during the second period of the Bruins’ 4-1 win over the Coyotes on Tuesday night. But the on-ice officials saw things differently.

As Burmistrov laid out on the ice for several minutes from the effects of the hit before being stretchered off and taken to a local hospital, Miller was given a game misconduct as his shoulder made contact to Burmistrov’s head. Miller, who tallied his fifth goal of the season to give the Bruins a 1-0 lead over the Coyotes in the first period, was also assessed a matching minor for roughing along with Jakub Chychrun in the aftermath of the Burmistrov hit.
