Bruins Assign Kemppainen to Providence

BOSTON, MA – Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, February 5, that the team has assigned forward Joonas Kemppainen to Providence. Kemppainen will play for the P-Bruins in Friday’s game against Albany.

Kemppainen, 27, is currently in the midst of his first NHL season and has appeared in 35 games with Boston, tallying one goal and two assists for three points.

Last season, the 6’3”, 223-pound forward played in 59 games for Oulun Kärpät in the Finnish Elite League, recording 11 goals and 21 assists with a plus-15 rating.
