The Boston Bruins will have several players that will miss opening night. Bruins forward David Krejci and defenseman Torey Krug underwent surgeries in the offseason. Boston Bruins general manager Don Sweeney was pressed about their status at the end of development camp, and he stated that both had been “doing very well”.
“Both doing very well,” said Sweeney. “I see Torey pretty regularly because he’s been around all summer. David just went down to Carolina for a few weeks.
“[Krejci’s] rehab has gone very well. He’s got it set up down there for a little bit but he’s popping back up.
