Hey, sometimes even losing momentum is still momentum. The Broncos had the Ducks on the ropes Monday evening and led nearly whistle to whistle before finally succumbing to a scoring drought that let the Fightin’ Phil Knights take the win. For all the disappointment of Monday night’s defeat, the Broncos showed something we hadn’t really seen this year—the ability to go toe-to-toe with a upper tier basketball team. As luck would have it, that extra gear will come in handy as the Broncos (3-3) host the SMU Mustangs this evening at Taco Bell Arena—a team they haven’t played since they were both members of the Western Athletic Conference.
