The vast majority of these coaches are their university's highest-paid employee, making more than the school's president - especially in a football crazy conference like the Big Ten. Here are the salaries for all 14 coaches in the conference (including Purdue's Darrell Hazell, who was just fired):

9) D.J. Durkin, Maryland Terrapins - $2.41 million
