Report: Attorney for Maurice Watson Jr. denies allegations; Watson will return to Omaha to turn himself in

One day after a felony arrest warrant was issued by the Omaha Police Department, Creighton Bluejays guard Maurice Watson Jr. is returning to Omaha to turn himself in.

The Omaha World-Herald reported this latest development in this story on Friday afternoon. An attorney for Watson Jr. spoke to the Omaha publication and went on to deny the allegations made towards him:

“We are adamantly denying these allegations,” said Mallory Hughes, who is defending Watson along with former Douglas County Attorney Stu Dornan and Tom Monaghan, former U.S. attorney for Nebraska.
