Chaney attends the famed Findlay Prep High School in Las Vegas and is a member of the RM5 Elite EYBL team, which is based out of Texas. Originally from Frisco, Chaney is listed as the third-best recruit in the state of Nevada at the moment per 247Sports, with four-stars Trey Woodbury and Moses Wood ahead of him right now.
