The start of a trend?

Cedar Hill wide receiver Joshua Fleeks announced on Twitter Saturday evening that he has orally committed to Baylor University, becoming the first Longhorn to join former head coach Joey McGuire in Waco.

McGuire joined the Baylor staff in December (where he will be the TEs coach) but was unable to flip any of his former players in the Class of 2017. Fleeks and Southlake Carroll OL Jackson Kimble, who also committed on Saturday, became the first recruits in Baylor's 2018 recruiting class.

A three-star wide receiver (247Sports), Fleeks is ranked as 48th-best overall recruit in Texas, and the 64th-best receiver in the nation.
