Athlon Sports recently polled a panel of media who covers the Big 12, asking them their favorite college towns in the conference. If you want to check out the full breakdown, you can read it here, but suffice it say that Waco received no love from the peanut gallery, finishing last out of all 10 cities.
What. A. Crock.
I’ll cop to my bias up front. I’ve lived in Waco now for the past 17 years, and I wouldn’t have stuck around this long if the town had nothing to offer.
I can understand the appeal big cities like Austin and Fort Worth have for out-of-town visitors.
