Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh decided to set the record straight on Sunday about rumors allegeding his team tipped off the Indianapolis Colts to set off the whole Deflategate scandal.
"That's ridiculous," Harbaugh said Sunday as a guest on NBC's Super Bowl XLIX pregame show. "I never made any call."
Harbaugh says he did not speak with the Indianapolis Colts about the matter after the Ravens' divisional round loss, but he did follow up with Colts head coach Chuck Pagano after the AFC Championship to ensure that no one from the Ravens had spoken with the Colts. He also added that Chuck Pagano insisted that no one on the Ravens "tipped off" the Colts about the footballs in any way.
While this likely absolves John Harbaugh from any connection to this matter, don't expect the Deflategate rumblings (and wackiness) to...deflate anytime soon.
