3 Things The Baltimore Ravens Must Do To Make The Playoffs

The Baltimore Ravens have made the playoffs five of the last six years, and there's plenty of reason to believe that they'll be back on the big stage once again at the turn of the 2016 calendar. Here's 3 Things The Baltimore Ravens Must Do To Make The Playoffs.

1. Keep The Offensive Line Show Going

QB Joe Flacco was sacked just once in the team’s two playoff games last postseason, and that was emblematic of a 2014 campaign that saw the O-line dominate both in run blocking and against the pass rush. It only promises to get better with young right guard John Urschel and left tackle James Hurst having a year of NFL experience under their belts. If the unit can maintain its dominance, the Ravens' playoff (and championship) hopes will be the beneficiary.

2. Let Steve Smith Be Steve Smith

Smith was in full ‘eff you’ mode in 2014, catching 87 passes for 1,110 yards and seven touchdowns while showcasing a pure confidence that was utterly infectious for the rest of the offense. Keeping Smith involved in the offense and impassioned is going to be critical to the growth of first-round pick Breshad Perriman AND the team's passing offense from a production standpoint -- especially with Torrey Smith suiting up for the 49ers nowadays.

3. Survive The AFC North

The Browns are the Browns, and we might as well pencil in two wins over that dumpster fire in Northeast Ohio. However, the Steelers and Bengals are still elite squads with legitimate Super Bowl hopes, setting the stage for another slog through the AFC North mud in 2015. If Baltimore survives the divisional murderer's row with a 4-2 record or better, you can bank on another Joe Flacco-led playoff run this winter.
