O’s prospects 8/17:Pitching leads 4-for-5 effort for affiliates

Tides starter Tyler Wilson wasn’t horrible, but he wasn’t good, either. He threw 6.0 IP, gave up five runs on eight hits and two walks, struck out just three and gave up a home run. You know what, scratch that, he was kind of horrible.

It ultimately didn’t matter, because unless he threw a shut-out, he wasn’t getting the win anyway. The Tides managed just the one run as just four Tides batters managed even one hit. None managed two. Lead-off hitter Chris Dickerson reached base twice on walks, but never scored. Chris Lee finished the last three innings pitching, giving up one run on three hits, no walks and two strikeouts.
