The Orioles released their spring training schedule for next season and the team’s 34-game exhibition schedule will include a game against the Dominican Republic World Baseball Classic team on March 7 at Ed Smith Stadium.
Games will begin earlier than normal because of the World Baseball Classic. The Orioles’ first Grapefruit League game will be on Feb. 24 against the Detroit Tigers at Joker Marchant Stadium in Lakeland. Two days later, the Orioles will open their home schedule against the Pittsburgh Pirates at Ed Smith Stadium.
The Orioles have only one scheduled split-squad day.
