Kevin Gausman has seen more than his share of tough luck this year. Poor run support has haunted his best efforts throughout the season. But the Orioles right-hander did little to help his own cause in Friday night's series opener against the Toronto Blue Jays.
Gausman has pitched better than the 2-7 record he brought into the Rogers Centre on Friday would indicate. He had four quality starts in his five outings coming in, posting a 2.51 ERA over that stretch including seven scoreless frames in his previous start Saturday against the Cleveland Indians.
