Men's Tennis Suffers 5-2 Setback In MAC Opener At WMU

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Ball State men's tennis team (8-7, 0-1 MAC) suffered a 6-1 loss at Western Michigan (10-6, 1-0 MAC) Friday afternoon in the Cardinals Mid-American Conference opener at Sorensen Courts.

The Broncos took an early lead with doubles wins at No. 2 and No. 3. The senior duo of Lucas Andersen and Andrew Stutz defeated the nationally ranked twosome of No. 74 Daniel Loebel and Kennosuke Nouchi by a score of 6-2 on the top court. The twosomes were the first to come off the court but the Broncos prevailed at the next two positions in order to take the point from Ball State.
