MUNCIE, Ind. — The group “Save the Fieldhouse” answered the community’s questions on Sunday in a public forum regarding the Muncie Fieldhouse, and the very first question dovetailed off a motion from the most recent Muncie Community Schools board meeting.
In that meeting, superintendent Steven Baule proposed that the pass-through account set up with the Community Foundation for Fieldhouse fundraising say funding would go to “Fieldhouse or other athletic facilities” instead of just “Fieldhouse renovation.” That apparently won’t be the case as the Community Foundation rejected that idea after the school board passed it unanimously. All fundraising will go towards the Fieldhouse.
