Cardinals Notch Ninth Straight Win

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Ball State baseball team scored four runs in the fifth inning to rally for a 6-5 win at Buffalo Friday afternoon. The Cardinals have now won nine straight games and moved above .500 in league action.

Buffalo (11-23, 3-7 MAC) took a 5-2 lead in the third inning behind Vinny Mallaro's three-run home run.

From there, Ball State (20-18, 7-6) starting pitcher settled down and retired 11 straight Bulls to keep the Cardinals in the game. Marnon finished with eight strikeouts, equaling a career best, and earned his third consecutive win.
