MUNCIE, Ind. — Mark Detweiler, the longtime coach at Union County, has been hired as Delta's boys basketball coach. He was approved at a school board meeting Tuesday night.
Detweiler has spent the last 16 seasons as the head coach at Union County, going 207-161 with two sectional titles. He also coached at Randolph Southern for three seasons, compiling a 28-38 record with one sectional title.
A Ball State graduate who is a former assistant at Daleville and Cowan, Detweiler takes the reins from Ryan Van Skyock, who coached for three seasons.
"He’s a good fit because of his experience and the success he’s had at Union County," Delta athletic director Grant Zgunda said.
