COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Despite holding a 25-9 advantage in shots, Auburn fell 2-1 at the hands of Texas A&M on Sunday night. The Tigers (12-5-0, 8-2-0 SEC) snapped a program-best seven-match winning streak.

“I thought our team battled and played hard,” said head coach Karen Hoppa. “We clearly had more of the ball and more chances, but we just didn’t execute in the final third. We made a couple defensive mistakes to give [the Aggies] set pieces, but at the end of the day we’ve got to execute better in the final third and we’ll work on that heading into Thursday’s game.
