Top-ranked 2018 running back Zamir White announced his commitment to Georgia on Tuesday.
“Dawg Nation, baby,” White said after putting on a black Georgia hat.
White’s decision means seven of the consensus top 10 running backs for the 2018 class have declared their commitments (we’re using 247Sports.com’s composite rankings, which is a consensus ranking). While White is the first one to pick an SEC team, it appears the conference is just getting started. Each of the remaining three top-10 backs resides in the SEC “footprint” — Harold Joiner and Asa Martin are from Alabama, while Dameon Pierce is from Georgia.
