Kevin Greene to be inducted into Hall of Fame
Few have traveled a greater distance than Greene to Canton, going from a walk-on at Auburn to ultimately becoming — after eight seasons with the Los Angeles Rams, three each with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Carolina Panthers, and one with the San Francisco 49ers — the NFL’s all-time linebacker sack king.
But don’t mistake “linebacker” there as a way to better the numbers or the status: Greene’s 160 career sacks is third among all players, behind only legendary defensive ends Bruce Smith and Reggie White.
