AUBURN, Ala. — Auburn's largest-ever margin of victory over a ranked team on Saturday night moved the Tigers up the national polls Sunday.
Auburn's 56-3 win over Arkansas propelled the Tigers to No. 17 in the coaches poll that was released Sunday. The Associated Press poll was to be released later in the day.
Auburn entered Saturday's game ranked No. 23 by the coaches and No. 21 by the AP. The Tigers then promptly went out and beat then-No. 17 Arkansas by 53 points with a running game that ran up 543 yards, the most ever by one SEC team against another.
