Corey Maggard named finalist for National Assistant Golf Coach of the Year

AUBURN, Ala. - Auburn's Corey Maggard has been named a finalist for the Jan Strickland Award that goes to the national assistant golf coach of the year, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced on Thursday.

Maggard was a semifinalist for the award last season.

The Tigers have won four tournaments this year at the Inverness Intercollegiate, Jerry Pate National, Tiger Invitational and the Gary Koch Invitational. Sophomore Trace Crowe won medalist honors at the Gary Koch, finishing the last two rounds with a pair of 66s.

Auburn has been nationally-ranked the entire season and is currently 19th.
