Auburn Football Adds to Group of Young Running Backs with Barrett

Barrett was Auburn’s best chance at picking up a high level running back in the 2017 class, and they were able to grab the Tampa Catholic star thanks to some help from his former high school teammate and current Auburn football wide receiver Nate Craig-Myers.

During his junior season at Tampa Catholic Barrett rushed for 1,891 yards on 187 carries for a 10.1 yards per carry average. He also caught 14 balls out of the backfield for 218 yards, and scored a combined 21 touchdowns.

At 6-foot-1, 190 pounds Barrett is a speedy running back with great agility and quickness in the open field.
