Auburn Football Recruiting: Top Targets Plan To Attend Spring Game

The Auburn Tigers are in the midst of spring practice in preparation for the 2016 season, but that doesn't mean head coach Gus Malzahn & Co. have taken a step back on the recruiting trail. Here are all the latest news and rumors surrounding Auburn recruiting:

4-star OL likely to attend Auburn's spring game
Four-star offensive lineman Netori Johnson (Ellenwood, GA) recently tweeted out his top ten in no order, but it appears that Auburn is one of his top schools. He has already visited Auburn twice this year, and said he will "most likely" attend the Tigers' spring game on April 9. However, Johnson doesn't expect his decision to come anytime soon, saying he plans to decide on National Signing Day next year.

Auburn has already offered a scholarship to 2018 running back Dameon Pierce (Bainbridge, GA), and they're in his top two at the moment, along with Florida State. However, Pierce has already visited Auburn twice, and loved the atmosphere at Auburn.

“The first time I went, I went to the Iron Bowl but it wasn’t really a visit,” Pierce said. “The atmosphere was very electric. That was my first time being in a stadium that big. And it was a rivalry game that big. So I enjoyed it.”

Pierce's second visit came this week to watch a practice.

"The practice was fast-paced but they got everything in that they needed to done,” he said, via 247sports. “The coaches were on them. They were teaching them technique and the players were buying into it. They treated me like I was one of their own. They gave me the plays they were running. They went over film. Just corrected little mistakes. It wasn’t anything major.”

The 5'10", 200-pounder also plans to attend Auburn's spring game.
