The Auburn Tigers coaching staff erupted in cheers when the country's top prospect, DE Byron Cowart, announced he would be signing with Auburn over in-state Florida.
His announcement boosted Auburn up the rankings, but he has yet to fax in his Letter of Intent to the Tigers, meaning he still hasn't finalized a decision.
There were reports before Cowart's announcement that he had signed LOI's for both Auburn and Florida and was extremely torn between the two, which explains this indecision.
Cowart and fellow five-star DE Cece Jefferson, both Florida natives, have said they want to go to school together, and Jefferson hasn't made his announcement yet.
