Former Michigan CB Blake Countess transferring to Auburn

Former Michigan cornerback Blake Countess announced via his Instagram and Twitter accounts that he plans to transfer to Auburn for his final year of eligibility. Countess, who received his degree from Michigan this spring, will be immediately eligible to play as a graduate transfer.

“Excited to attack the next chapter in my life! #WarEagle #BoomEra,” Countess posted shortly after 8 a.m.

Countess, who announced his intention to transfer from Michigan earlier this month, visited Auburn last weekend. It didn’t take long for him to make his decision.

His addition brings depth to Auburn’s secondary, which had three players — Kamryn Melton, Derrick Moncrief and Joe Turner — transfer this month.
