Atlanta United FC is reportedly set to add another goalkeeper to the fray. According to AS Chile, Fabian Cerda, who currently plays for Transandino de Los Andes in Chile’s Segunda División of domestic soccer, is headed to MLS to play for Atlanta. AS reports that Cerda is expected in the U.S. at some point in the coming week before the club’s opener against the New York Red Bulls next Sunday.
Cerda joined the senior side of CD Universidad Católica in 2009, where he saw six appearances from 2009-2015. In 2014, he was sent on loan to Cobresal, where he appeared in three matches.
