ATLANTA -- As Arthur Blank proudly talked about next Saturday's grand opening of the $1.5 billion Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the Atlanta Falcons owner was equally excited about the NFL product that has been assembled to play inside the new venue.
There are high expectations for Blank's Falcons coming off last season's Super Bowl run, which ended with a 34-28 overtime loss to the New England Patriots for the title.
“For some reason, during the Super Bowl, they decided to extend the game by one quarter; it wasn't good for us,” Blank said with a laugh during a news conference at the stadium Saturday afternoon.
