3 Players The Atlanta Falcons Are Likely To Draft In The 1st Round Are...

The Atlanta Falcons have a lot of areas that need work, and they’re looking to bring in several impact players that can bring this team back to the playoffs. Who are they targeting in the first round of the draft to help improve their roster next year?

DE Vic Beasley, Clemson

The Falcons once again struggled to put pressure on the quarterback in 2014, and they brought down opposing QBs just 22 times in 2014, tied with the Raiders for the second-fewest among all 32 NFL teams. Beasley had the fastest 40-yard dash of any defensive end at the combine that showcased his freakish athleticism, and he could step in and be the impact pass-rusher Atlanta needs right away.

OLB Bud Dupree – Kentucky

A combination of overwhelming athleticism and unbridled strength, Dupree has vaulted up many teams’ draft boards over the past several weeks. He has the power to absolutely manhandle block tight ends and hit through opposing ball carriers with an explosive closing flourish — the perfect combination to add to the Atlanta Falcons’ pass rush going forward.

RB Todd Gurley, Georgia

The all of the pass rushers Atlanta likes have been taken, but be surprised to see them reach a bit for Gurley. His combination of size, speed, and power have him as the top running back prospect in the draft, and he should have an immediate impact in the NFL once he fully recovers from a torn ACL (he's expected to be ready to play Week 1).
