The dark nightmare is over. The Braves broke their five-game losing streak on Sunday by barely eking out a 2-1 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Atlanta took the lead in the seventh inning thanks to a home run from Jace Peterson, and despite a scare in the bottom of the ninth (which included a collision in the outfield between Eury Perez and Cameron Maybin), the Braves were able to hang on to the lead and avoid getting swept in a second consecutive series.
