Friday evening, David O’Brien from the Atlanta Journal Constitution tweeted out that Atlanta Braves right handed relief pitcher, Juan Jaime has cleared waivers. OK, maybe the headline is a little jarring – I doubt other Braves fans would use the word “Lucky” when referring to this topic.
On April 13, the Braves designated Jaime for assignment because he was out of minor league options. This came a day after he walked three Mets hitters that resulted in a loss. The Braves bullpen has struggled in 2015 with walks and Jaime was the front runner in the time he spent with the Braves.
