Aston Villa win two friendlies in one night as different squads beat Telford and Kidderminster simultaneously

Aston Villa got their pre-season underway in earnest as Gabby Agbonlahor captained the side to an easy win over Telford.

Henri Lansbury scored twice from the penalty spot as Steve Bruce selected a strong Villa squad for the game at New Bucks Head Stadium.

Simultaneously, a second Aston Villa side beat Kidderminster with Conor Houihane, James Chester and Harry McKirdy finding the net.
