Arsenal have stepped up their efforts to sign 19-year-old Stuttgart midfielder Berkay Ozcan after sending scouts to watch the Under-19 Turkey international.
According to Turkish-Football, the Gunners have made contact with the player's representatives in an effort to lure the youngster to the Emirates in the summer.
While Arsenal are considered favourites to land the highly-rated youngster, he is not short of interest, particularly in his home country.
Besiktas are also keeping a close eye on his development and could rival Arsene Wenger's attempts to sign the midfielder.
Ozcan has been causing quite a stir in Bundesliga 2 this season, netting three times in 18 appearances for Stuttgart, as they aim for an immediate return to the German top flight.
