ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Army West Point women's soccer team battled Navy here Friday night in the teams' always thrilling rivalry game.
A Mids tally just eight minutes into the contest proved decisive, as Navy defeated Army 1-0. With the win, the Mids increased their lead on the all-time series to 14-11-3.
In Friday's back-and-forth affair, Army had numerous chances on frame but weren't able to sneak one past Navy's keeper Dayton Wetherby, who finished with a game-high five saves.
Clare Shea led Army's charge with four shots, three of which that were on frame.
