JONESBORO, Ark. (4/23/17) – The Arkansas State baseball team was able to get within 6-5 of South Alabama, but the Jaguars scored the final nine runs of the game to earn a series-clinching 15-5 win Sunday afternoon at Tomlinson Stadium.
South Alabama (25-16, 12-6 SBC) jumped in front in the top of the first with RBI singles by Wells Davis and Drew LaBounty. However, A-State loaded the bases in the bottom of the first with hits by Joe Schrimpf and Garrett Rucker before Jeremy Brown reached on an error with two outs.
