BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (2/25/17) – The Arkansas State women’s tennis team earned its first victory of the season with a 4-3 win over UAB Sunday afternoon at George Ward Park.
The Red Wolves battled to win four matches in singles competition led by victories from Julie Gauguery, Shannon O’Brien, Tori Roberts and Allison Quammen. O’Brien and Quammen each rebounded after losing the first set of their matches to pick up back-to-back set victories to help lead their team to victory.
“The girls showed a tremendous amount of guts and determination today,” A-State head coach Kel Lange said.
