RIO VERDE, Ariz. (2/26/17) – The Arkansas State women’s golf team recorded a final-round 305 Sunday at the Rio Verde Invitational, completing the three-day tournament with a combined 909 that placed it tied for eighth among 19 teams.
The Red Wolves’ 909 was their second lowest three-round score this season behind only their 902 shot at the MVC preview in early October. A-State’s total included a second-round 295, posted yesterday, which tied its fourth lowest round at a road tournament over the last 12 years.
The second-round score followed an opening round 309 for A-State and helped the squad move from tied for eighth place to seventh.
