Kingsley a finalist for Abdul-Jabbar Award

FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas' Moses Kingsely is a finalist for a national award recognizing the best player at his position.

Kingsley was one of 10 finalists named to the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year Award on Friday. The trophy is presented by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and the winner will be announced Friday, April 8.

Wisconsin's Frank Kaminsky won the inaugural award last season when Arkansas' Bobby Portis was also a finalist.

Kingsley, a junior, is averaging 16.4 points and 9.4 rebounds per game this season. He ranks third in the SEC in rebounds and is second in the conference with 55 blocked shots.
