This is the fifth victory in the last six Southeastern Conference series openers, as well as 10 of the last 12 games in the win column for the Hogs.

Trailing 6-5 in the eighth inning, Arkansas used late-inning magic to make a run for the victory, as Brett McAfee scored the game tying run on a Clark Eagan RBI single to bring the score to 6-6.

Eagan then moved into scoring position on a wild pitch. Joe Serrano became the hero of the night when he knocked a single to center field, bringing in Eagan to score the go-ahead run.
