LITTLE ROCK – Marcus Johnson Jr. was named Preseason All-Sun Belt Second Team on Monday by CollegeSportsMadness.com.
Johnson, who was an All-Sun Belt Second team choice and member of the All-Sun Belt Tournament team in his junior season with the Trojans, averaged 12.5 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 2015-16. He shot 47.3 percent from the floor to rank second among all guards in the league.
He shot 46.6 percent from 3-point range to lead the Sun Belt, while his 75 made 3s ranked fifth in the conference. The Charlotte, N.C., native scored in double figures 20 times on the season and connected on multiple 3-pointers in 21 games.
