LITTLE ROCK – A strong year in the classroom led to Little Rock baseball winning the Sun Belt Conference's 2016-17 Team GPA Award with a grade point average of 3.31 on Friday morning.
The Trojans' GPA was 13 points higher than Arkansas State's second-place GPA of 3.18.
Little Rock put together a team-record 3.41 GPA during the fall semester as 32 of 38 student-athletes posted GPAs of 3.0 or higher. The Trojans had similar success in the spring as they tallied a 3.20 GPA as 25 players recorded a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
