Wildcats' bowl destination hinges on handful of games

For the first time this season, the Arizona Wildcats have a bye week.

Their rest could last for as many as five weeks or as few as three, depending on where the UA plays its upcoming bowl game.

Regardless, Arizona will be spectators for a full college football weekend for the first time since the 2014 season, and the Wildcats — and fans — should be watching closely as the season wraps up. Next week brings conference championship games, showdowns that may affect the Wildcats’ bowl destination.

It will be Arizona’s fourth straight season with a bowl berth, a program record, although the Wildcats (6-6) have the fewest wins heading into a bowl game since Rich Rodriguez became head coach.
