Sonoran Hot Reads: Arizona Sand Volleyball heading to first NCAA beach tournament

This year has been the first that beach volleyball was an NCAA sponsored sport, and the Arizona Wildcats are headed to the first-ever NCAA Tournament in the sport. Eight teams were selected for the inaugural event, which will take place in Gulf Shores, Alabama. The selection happened the same day that Arizona advanced to the Pac-12 Finals through the loser's bracket, taking out UCLA along the way. The Bruins are seeded 4th in the NCAA Tournament, with the Wildcats 6th. Arizona will take on Pepperdine in the first round on May 6th at 10 AM PT on TruTV.
