If we have learned anything about baseball, it is the parity that exists within the sport from time-to-time. This World Series will have a few connections to the University of Arizona, with Former Wildcat Kenny Lofton taking part in the festivities.
It has been 71 years since the Chicago Cubs have been to the World Series, and 108 years since they last won, and it has been 68 years since the Cleveland Indians have won, with their last appearance coming in 1997.
The two organizations came together Tuesday at Progressive Field, or the stadium formerly known as Jacobs Field, to start the Series between the storied programs, long wishing to end their championship woes.
