Who says good football can’t come from Tucson? Former Wildcat Syndric Steptoe is out there proving doubters wrong.
A former standout at wide receiver at the University of Arizona, Steptoe also had a brief stint in the NFL, the United Football League (UFL) and Canadian Football League (CFL). Fast forward a few years, and now Steptoe is one of the coaches for the Tucson Turf Elite.
A 7-on-7 team that was formed not long ago, with the help of Pima Community College and NFL Flag Tucson, they serve the local community by offering a premier flag football league for young kids wanting to play football.
