Most Pac-12 coaches start basketball games with their suit jackets on. Bobby Hurley usually does so with his off. The first-year Arizona State coach prepares for contests as if “all h--l is breaking loose.” It’s how he coaches – and at times it’s gotten him into trouble with officials.
On his weekly radio show this week, Hurley said that since getting ejected from ASU’s Jan. 3 home contest against rival Arizona, his bench decorum has attracted more attention than the actions of his conference and national peers. To him, that’s fine. He admits, at times, he needs to tweak his delivery or better pick his spots.
