The Sun Devils weren’t able to overcome USC’s strong hitting performance as starting pitcher Jordan Aboites gave up 7 hits and 6 runs in 7.2 innings pitched.
USC’s starting pitcher, Mitch Hart, had a strong outing for the Trojans. In 6.0 innings he gave up only 3 hits and struck out 5.
USC didn’t overly rely on any one pitcher in the game as they had 4 different pitchers on the mound. After Hart was pulled the Trojans used three different relief pitchers to shut down an ASU comeback.
For ASU, infielder David Greer once again had a spectacular game.
