Sun Devil Stadium holds on to record after 2015 NFL Draft

Jan. 3, 2003 continues to live on as one of the greatest college football games ever played

Sun Devil Stadium, where the 2003 BCS National Championship game was played, will remain host to the largest amount of future NFL draft picks ever to play in one game.

On that night in 2003 at Sun Devil Stadium, a record 52 future NFL Draft picks played. That mark was somewhat in jeopardy last weekend during the NFL Draft. The talent pool in Tuscaloosa during the 2011 matchup between LSU and Alabama was also large, but not big enough. A total of 45 players from that game were drafted, falling 7 players short of the Sun Devil Stadium record.
